I mean, I'm amazed Hughes doesn't do monthlies. Apparently anyone else can become a well respected star by badly tracing his art. All he has to do is change clothing every issue a little or something.

Paulo, check out the hand, he wanted to point out that on top of the girl being copied, the missing hand was copied / flipped and pasted from the exact same source.
It should be noted this sort of thing is highly encouraged by writers like Mark Millar, Warren Ellis and editorial as some sort of "quality" enhancing feature. They even poisoned Salvador Laroqua's art with this. If you look at a Millar comic, it's full of people looking like ~a-list celebrities of Hollywood~ on purpose.

One thing that also jumps out at me is that in those Mack swipes, the line work is kind of sloppy or wobby. Notice the clean line work and tight feathering in the Hughes originals.

These people all need to be fired. Give the work to artists, not plagiarists.

A few years back - Wizard magazine had a special insert - a "between the panels" scene if you will - for the Batman storyline "Hush." I was amazed with how much Jeph Loeb "borrowed" from Brave and the Bold #197. Check it out if you can.
Also - JMS gave us a story in Amazing Spider-Man about a tailor who caters to superheroes and villains. Clever? I thought so, too - when I first read the story "Neutral Ground" in the paperback book The Further Adventures of Batman back in 1989. I looked to see if maybe JMS had penned that story. He didn't.
I've been wanting to point those out for a while - sorry if it's been mentioned before. Also sorry I don't have scans.

Didn't Marvel get sued years ago for a cover using a swipe of Amy Grant's photo? And now Greg Land makes entire comics using celebrity and swimwear models photos?
And I have lost all respect I used to have for David Mack. He is as bad as Fabio LaGuna (1990's "Wolverine" artist) when it comes to swiping.
