Boo-effin'-hoo.

I screw someone over and then this person singles me out and changes his policy.

Is this guy serious?

"I'm such a bad guy."

No. Just a dork.

Trevor, you might want to edit the price Pat mentions out of the post, since things like that aren't supposed to be discussed on the board.

I've known Pat for a while now. He happens to be a fan of John's work and very eagerly anticipates JB's books as well as the commissions. He was so excited about the commission and was devastated when it didn't come out exactly the way he wanted. He was angry and made a mistake. He has admitted that mistake publicly and just apologized for doing what he did.

I'm not justifying the Castrillo piece. It was done in anger and is wrong, but Pat is not a bad guy. He is a guy who did a bad thing, and there is a difference.

I'm sure he will remove the Castriillo copy from his CAF and I can vouch for the fact that he has no intention of deliberately commissioning an rejecting another piece. He genuinely wants a Byrne commission. It is all he talks about.

I said it before, I'll say it again, all he wants is attention, and we're all feeding his ego right now.

Ari, an apology might have won me over.

That was a public hairshirt donning.

Frankly, I don't know why he commissioned Castrillo to redraw it - isn't this
the same Pat Ditton who charges other folks for his own shitty swipes?

Oh, and by the way, while I was reading threads this morning I was following
the one where Pat started in on Paul Greer. Paul's request was sensible and
clear, and the only one of the two who was being an ass was Ditton. And a
huge one at that.

It was more an acknowledgement of a mistake made.  Perhaps if he is allowed to return to the forum, he will apologize
