When this first started down the pike, something about the privately-funded nature of the project subconsciously affected my expectations. I unthinkingly put limitations on what I could expect from the project-- something that I can now recognize as a thought along the lines of: 'Well, how much comic can you afford to create if you aren't a big company?' Nonsense, obviously, but it's more clear than ever from these peeks that JB and WO are going BIG and it really excites me."
And yet so few of even the big companies go for the big effects these days... Not saying that comics have to, but the fact that the only limitations are the imagination and the skills of the artist... there should definitely be more grandeur around.
