JB -

Your thought makes perfect sense, and with your ability to stay on deadline would be completely workable.

Amazing looking stuff. Really. This is what Doom Patrol might have looked like with Byrne inks.

I'm starting to expect the kid with the power to be sort of cross between Hal Jordan Green Lantern and Dial "H" for Hero type. A classic-type Silver Age superhero, in other words.

I'm surprised that the publisher agreed to go with this material; Thought IDW wasn't into "superheroes"

JB said, "Increase in comfort? Confidence? Well. Whatever the
heck it is that does seem to make the art get stronger from issue to
issue.
."

I hardly think it's a matter of confidence after 30 years in the biz. I think it
might have something to do with you getting to know the characters better
as the story progresses and making stronger connections with them as we
go along. But whatever it is, keep doing it.

Now a giant robot...

I'll tell you a little secret -- that is not a secret to anyone who has ever sat where I sit. There are few things on Earth more terrifying, more crushing to soul and spirit, than a sheet of blank paper. I face it every day, two, three times a day. And in 30 years, it has not gotten a whole lot easier. In fact, I long ago came to the conclusion that if it gets easier, it means you're doing it wrong!

Well said. Very, very true.

Wayne,

Do you plan on framing a whole issue, putting the whole thing on the walls of a room?

That would be something to see!

Wayne's going to wallpaper his library with the original art of the entire mini-series.
