Wow, FX #5, awesome splash page, I can't wait to read it, thank you for sharing!
I've just read the FX #1, and I think that I understand how that Giant robot was "created" ;-). I've really enjoyed the first FX, thank you JB and Wayne.

The thing that strikes me the hardest, right after the amazing camera angle and superior composition, is the varied textures in the image. Kudos JB for showing us what years of refining your craft can produce. I consider you an master artisan and not just an artist.

I just noticed that something on this page reminds me of that first issue of Fantastic Four from JB's early-mid 1980s run.  It has to be the variety of weights to the ink strokes, with the figures having bold strokes, lighter strokes for the background and somewhat smudgy-looking smoke in the scene.  I'm thinking that I'll enjoy what JB comes out with this year.

I mean this in the best possible way, JB- but it seems that the art is getting better and
better each successive peek you show us! Like, the first few pages of book 1 are
good, but this is stellar!

••

Sometimes I think, when drawing miniseries, I should start WAAAAAAAY ahead of
schedule, so I can draw all the books, all at the same once, pages all out of order, so
that when they get shuffled into the proper numerical sequence you won't see this,
well, what should I call it? Increase in comfort? Confidence? Well. Whatever the
heck it is that does seem to make the art get stronger from issue to issue.

I'm going to have to come up with a new word to describe just how excited I
am about this book..
