Okay…

It's Heather's fault Mac died. If she had not distracted him, he would have finished disarming the suit.

I've always thought so.  I still love her, though!

That bit of inviso-text (as sad as it is) isn't too surprising, but it was very charitable of you to leave some ambiguity in there. For the readers, if not for Heather.

If a Marvel reboot ever happens, I'm petitioning that it happens at the exact moment before Heather opens the door, and she realizes she forgot her glasses and goes back for them.

I thought it gave Heather a nice "Marvel-esque" motivation to carry on Alpha Flight in her own way in Mac's stead.

JB, you phrased it as "what was in your head at the time." Is it still your interpretation or have you changed your mind?

Never saw this ending when I read it the first time. It was like the rug being pulled from under me...first time a comic book had ever taken a turn 180 degrees away from where I thought it would end. Awesome issue

What an issue. Full of thrills, at double the size.

And I'm not surprised by your revelation JB. What I've always suspected, tho saddening.

"For the readers, if not for Heather."

More for Heather, I suspect. It's always been clear to me that's what
happened.

So the "suitably abused" comment earlier was to be the sight of seeing her husband being trashed by Jaxon, and then things really went wrong...

JB, recently I've wondered what TV show Heather was referring to? I just assumed it was Star Trek, but looking at TV.com Trek ended in 1969. Care to dish?
