Ah, thanks for the info.  I thought I remembered something about her being his daughter in Alan Davis's X-Men run (in '05).

On the cartoon, she was definitely a clone. In the comics, I think the woman
who created her used some of her own genetic material with Wolverine's, so
she's not quite a clone.

"She" would be "not quite a clone" in any case -- unless there's something
about Logan we don't know!

True.  But whatever the term for her is, she's superfluous.  Having retractable claws in her feet doesn't exactly justify her existence.

His son?  What's that all about?

And to gripe about a previous point, whose bright idea was it to make Sabertooth and X-Man?  Why not make Blastaar one of the FF while you're at it?

Oh Man,
Don't even get me started on the Goodification of characters that are essentially evil.

True, there was a precedent with Magneto, but damn, it wasn't a good precedent.

Sabretooth wasn't "goodified" in X-Men recently.  He was blackmailed into helping the X-Men on a specific mission via nano-sentinels and tried to kill the X-Men as soon as he was able to.  In fact, Mike Carey specifically stated he wasn't interested in showing Sabretooth in any sort of heroic light or even to redeem him.

However the story ultimately turned out....the idea of heroes working with a carachter as out and out evil as Sabretooth, or any of a number of examples, is just plain bad writing.

(Without getting any better, this same artist went on to become a fan
fave, so what does that tell us?)
