Bucky Katt demanded to know, "By the way, Wayne -- how is someone who
lives in Canada (and a hundred
miles from the nearest comic store, at that) going to be able to ensure
getting FX when it's released?"

I'm pretty sure you can order direct from IDW's website. If not, I'll set up
some kinda subscription service through Paypal or something. Either way,
I'll do my best to make sure anyone who wants to read it will be able to.

Wow, you're such a radical, Wayne. I mean, isn't the whole idea of the comics market not to have copies readily available to people who may be intrested. Next you're going to tell us that kids and adults alike will be able to read it, o yeah, right, you already did!

Keep it up, Wayne! And may FX rule!

Fabulous, Wayne! Thanks.

(And yeah, JB, after many years in the big smoke I'm living back in the neck
of the woods from whence I came, and I can tell you that finding comics
around here thirty years ago was as dead simple as just walking to the
corner store...)

In all honesty, I was very happy that you Wayne had this opportunity to make a dream come true with getting John to do the art chores on a comic that he was writing and publishing in some format or another. It was a very cool scenerio to sit back and think about. That being said, I have no doubt that I would have purchased it to support Wayne and see the final project...... but as I've had the chance to hear more about it and see pieces from the story, I am very excited to read the damn thing!!!

Excited doesn't cover half of the feeling of anticipation I have, Fred. And every little nugget we're shown just strengthen that giddiness. I'm keep tellin' ya all, this makes me feel like a kid waiting for Christmas (so I guess Wayne and JB are incarnations of Santa now).

Joakim, "Feeling like a kid" was something that I nearly typed out in that last post... very much the feeling I used to have when I entered the local corner store to see the comics on the book racks.

Well, Ari, he's got a beard and he gives us joy. :)

Fred - I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one feeling that particular way about FX. I think the first time I put those words to was when Wayne said that he was happy to hear somebody else saying that they were going to read this with their kids and that that was the intended audience for the story he wrote. As I pointed out then, I don't have any kids in the right age in my surrounding (given that they'äd either be to little or at least to young to understand English), but it does make me feel like one.

And speaking of that "feeling like a kid"... last week I believe I was bringing up Tarzan on another thread and requesting some help about trying to figure out/find a comic I vaguely remember from my childhood (then printed in Swedish to complicate things further). The other day I actually realised while browsing through some web pages that it wasn't a visit to Pellucidar which I had at first incorrectly assumed. It was a visit to Pal-ul-don. I saw the name suddenly in print and it jumped out at me. I did some more research and everything just clicked... and the best thing: a Swedish internet site had that particular story, in the Russ Manning adaption (which is most likely the one I read), available. And feeling that giddy remembering-what-it-was-like-to-be-a-kid sensation I placed my order and now await that trip down memory lane.
Sorry about the slight thread drift, but given the feeling like a kid sensation that Wayne and JB can obviously bring out in others than just me, it did seem appropriate to share that thing here. :)

Is it too early to tell my (not so) local comic shop to order FX for me?  When is issue one coming out again?
