So, we get to see the covers for # 2 and # 3, but not # 1?

Hey! JB gently ribbed someone and they didn't have a complete hissy-fit
freak-out!
I didn't think such a thing was possible! Bravo!

Pat - I may be misremembering, but didn't we see the costume on the cover with the monster shadows on? All good stuff at any rate. Want more!

That's why my FIRST post said "I may have missed it...". It wasn't that big a deal. I'm just one of those guys who goes on and on and on and on and on....like the Energizer Bunny

It may have changed, with improved printing
techniques, but as it was explained to me years ago, the process is
called 60/40. Anything lighter than 40% black drops out and prints
white, anything darker than 60% black closes up and prints black. ------------------ Man! How I wish I had known that piece of information a couple months ago!

Pat:
....I was just thinking "costume reveal". But if WO and JB are both good with it....who am I...?
-------------------------------
Another note on the subject:
I think that costume is "revealed" on the cover of the first issue. --unless the cover has been changed from what I saw.

This series looks as though it will R-O-C-K...(in the USA, yeah, yeah...)
IDW has just become my favorite publisher...and NOT just because of the Dick Tracy stuff...

••
I have been contemplating redrawing the first issue cover, but not to take
the costume off it. I just think I could do a better cover, three issues in, with
more of a "feel" for the characters. When I did the cover for 1, the others
were only a twinkle in Wayne's eye. Had I known an actual miniseries would
spring from this, I would have saved the covers for later.

Depends on the series, but the Big Two have had an annoying habit lately of
wanting the covers months in advance of the issues being done. I found this
particularly frustrating, as I was usually working well ahead of schedule, I
would still get the editors calling me saying "We need a cover."
It's no wonder we see so many "pin-up" covers with nothing to do with the
interiors, these days!

And this is me, not complaining at all about the possibility of getting
another cover to issue 1..........
WO
(not that I don't love the first version. I'm just jazzed to get more FX art)
