Let's say, for the sake of discussion, that you could put together five (5) of your own trade paperbacks.  This will, naturally, allow for collections of comics that are either out of print or have never been printed in TPB form. Of course, you could also include collections that are actually in print.  What five TPBs would you put together and want to own in your collection?

One caveat: Don't include complete runs (ala Lee/Kirby FF or Byrne's NEXT MEN).  Think of these as complete story TPB.  For example, one of my collections would be PROJECT: PEGASUS from Marvel Two-In-One. Playing by the above rules, one of the TBP could not be Lee/Ditko ASM, although it's one of my favorite runs.

I tried to stick w/ ones that never made it to trades................

The final Gulacy issues of MOKF when Shang Chi goes up
against his father......44-50?

The Starlin issues of DCCP  26-29,37 & 38 ?

Though they've been oft reprinted, I'd love to see The Starlin Strange Tales/Warlock/Avengers
MTU 55 & M2IN1 Ann # 2 collected in a trade as a companion to the Life of
Captain Marvel Trade.

Micronauts 1-12...natch !

the Stern/Rogers Doc Strange 48-53?

I think this is a great thread idea & hope the powers that be take notice!!

1) Steve Engleharts JLA issues would make a nice trade. It was a short run. Not sure if there was an arc to it.

2) Englehart (again) The 50s Captain America saga.

3) The Defenders: The Guardian of the Galaxy Storyline

4) The Defenders: The Headmen storyline

5) Howard the Duck 1-12
