WOW -- this story may have a happy ending.
I just heard from the eBay seller and he said he had not realized there was a "original" pencil / ink page, too. He looked through his stock and found it and is going to send it out to me.
See people -- there is goodness in the world.

For me there's little better in his body of work than JB's Duo-Tone period.

Pat,
Keep in mind that the duo shade chemical process in NOT light fast.... I have pieces that I've done that have been in a flat file pretty much since I did them that are VERY faded.
I would definitely put it under some UL coated glass....
Not trying to scare you with it, just don''t want you to set an unpleasant surprise!
Joel

••
"Faded"? I've seen pieces continue to darken when not properly protected,
but not "fade".

Nice piece, Pat Ditton.
Sorry I didn't bid more agressively on that.
The light being cast by the pool was a brilliant use of the duo-tone by JB.
Thought so when this originally came out, and more apparent in this b/w
art.

…what do I need to do to protect the integrity of the piece ?•• Keep it in a light-proof portfolio. Baring that, if you frame it, be sure to get UV block glass, and hang it out of direct sunlight.
