I had this commissioned for a good buddy of mine.  I thought it turned out great.

Holy Kee-Rap!  The last two pages have been great!

Paul, the Panther by Scioli looks great!  Jason, that Katie Cook and Adlard piece are really nice!  Oh yeah, and Jose Luis Garcia Lopez!!! Wow!  I have to think about what character I would have him draw if I saw him at a show!

I'm really thrown for a loop by Paul's Darkseid piece...someone please explain...

Joe- One of Olivetti's many commission techniques is to render the figures in Photoshop, print that out on a grey-toned piece of paper, and then add white shading and highlights with pencil and paint.  It just happened that Paul asked for Darkseid, and Olivetti must have thought "I have a Darkseid already done that I've never used for anything!".
It's a very nice piece.

That is all.

"Captain America by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez"

Jason, how did you pull that off?!  I asked JLGL for Cap and he said no.  Got a cute Mary Marvel, but still... :-(

That JG Jones is great -- really like that darker style from him.

That J.G. Jones is outstanding. Great pick-ups Jason!

Joe, I was a little bummed by the Olivetti piece when I found out my commission was not an "original" pen and ink drawing. As pointed out it is done in photoshop and then printed out on paper. He then adds white pencils to add detail. Had I know this was the process I would not have asked for the commission. However, it looks amazing and since he doesn't speak very good English I chalk it up to miscommunication on both our parts. I am not angry. I just hope I don't see anyone else with that commission in the future.

It's definitely an odd way of completing a commission.  Looks good.

Like that JG Jones Captain America.  He was working on a Dr. Fate/Spectre piece when I was near his table.  Really good stuff.

And is Amanda Conner doing sketches at conventions again or was this a special thing?
