Just got a page from the 80s Nightcrawler by Dave Cockrum his creator. This is from issue #4 inked by Joe Rubinstein. Dave wrote penciled the series and inked issues 1-3. Dave really had run with the mini especially this page with Kurt being attacked by female Bamfs. Goes well with my other page in the series.

The following was posted with this page in the gallery..... "A while back I mentioned that my series BABE had begun its life as a more "serious" concept called (at least in my head) QUINN.* Same basic plan -- five women fuse into one, then split up again when the trouble that "summoned" them has passed. All I got done, first time around, was the splash of the first issue, to be told in a much more linear fashion. Hadn't seen it in years, but Jim Warden was here yesterday, digging thru the flat files, and lo and behold… This dates from somewhere around 1990. Amazing to look at it and see how far I still had to go, with faces, gesture, drapery. Oy! *You'll notice at this point it was still, briefly, called SIX. See if you can guess who the sixth woman was." I still can't figure out who the sixth woman was!

Wonderful pick up there William! Very cool peak at what might have been. JB's crowd scenes like that are really something.

Don't be a hater my Lego friend! But if I may call your attention to the side note on the art..."Color: Note Panther's ear in shadow". So what do they do?
His ear is now orange!

Brian, great looking Cockrum page. Always liked how he draws Nightcrawler. William, congrats on that cover as well as the splash page. Did you ever figure out the sixth person?
