Dakota North was the fourth of my four Conventionless Convention Sketches from Gene Gonzales and it's definitely my favorite of the group. He posted a colored version over at his blog if you want to check that out.

You guys are killin' me! I contacted Gene and apparently just missed his commission period. He's done until after convention season. Seems like a nice guy and definitely very talented.

A package from the Hero Initiative arrived last week with the Mike McKone Scarlet Witch sketch on the cover of New Avengers #1 as part of their New Avengers 100 fundraiser project. A great sketch for a great cause, so I couldn't resist! Larger scan here if you'd like to check it out in greater detail.

Mike has been getting into watercolour pieces of late, he has really gown s an
artist. He did this for me earlier this month.

@Chris, that's a great Wonder Woman page. Drew's pencils are incredibly detailed (those are the pencils, right?) so it's nice to see the original work. How was the Anaheim show?
