Todd Nauck - Spider-Man, ECCC 2011

BTW, if there's enough interest, I can restart the Wednesday Autograph-Sketch uploads again...

Cuz he's making more money doing what he does...

Thanks guys! When it rains it pours, I guess. Don't think I have much more to get until the May Motor City Con. I know I've pretty much blown my art-collection budget for the year. But when you think "I can't buy any more", that's when the really good stuff starts showing up...

Although, all the Garcia Lopez stuff was technically paid for last year...

awesome pieces, dave.

bill! your follow ups made me happy. i am blown away of the pure genius of getting ron lim to do desslok! i had no idea who would've been good to do a starblazers character at wondercon and that looks fantastic. great choice.

the hodges aurora is great too! but i think your dr.doom is challenging my iron man...i think iron man is ready!

Thanks, Charlie!  Ron Lim really wanted to do the Desslok commission (he got to keep my reference scans).

Well, we both know what happens when Doom faces off against Iron Man...  They usually team-up against a bigger threat or for a mutually beneficial goal...  ;-)

What a 21 minute art commission challenge looks like (actually went 32 minutes to completion):

Brian Stelfreeze - Aurora, WC2011

Was very lucky to get this, since he had a full con workload doing watercolor commissions.  However, his eye's lit-up when I asked a black & white art of Aurora and he squeezed me in as a timed challenge.

Hat's off to JB for designing her in the first place, because Aurora's certainly a favorite character with the artists I met at the con.
