Hi all,

I just added a nice TOYMAN pinup from
SUPERMAN VILLAINS SECRET FILES.

The pieces was illustrated by Ron Frenz & Joe Rubinstein:

TOYMAN by Ron Frenz & Joe Rubinstein

Toyman was always one of my favorite Superman villains
and John Byrne's reboot, followed by Dan Jurgens' meta-textual
revision was brilliant IMO.

I find this piece a nice understated portrait, truly befitting
Dan Jurgens take on the character.

Frenz wisely chose to portray the sad lonely man Winslow Schott was,
instead of shooting for an over the top, toy infested pinup.

A broken toy man

Comments are always welcome and appreciated !

Thanks for looking,
Gal

I like that the Avengers cover homages the first appearance of the JLA.

Neat!

First art scan from Gem City Con!  This is a small freebie sketch that independent/small press creator Joseph Morris included with a purchase of his comic Gulatta!  I don't know who they are because I haven't read it yet!

Green Lantern by Dan Davis.  This is the latest in a series of JLA heroes I've had Davis draw for me at Gem City Con over the years:

Mr. Crabs Gardner by Dave Aikins!  I love it!  Look at the hair!  The white gloves!  Spectacular!

At Mid-Ohio-Con 2008 I had Bob McLeod draw Kraven the Hunter for me.  He did a great job and I've always had fond memories of the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline.  As a companion to Kraven I set up this Vermin commission with McLeod ahead of time and I picked it up at Gem City today.

I think it turned out so great!  I was very surprised to hear him say that he thought it was the first time he had drawn the character since that storyline nearly 25 years ago!!!
