MegaCon turned into more of a "setting up" show over a "pick up" show with hopefully some really nice pieces coming in the near future.  A couple of names I am working on as well that I wasn't expecting to be as willing to work on something for me.  Should be exciting.

Here is one piece I did finagle though.  Hawkeye by Khoi Pham:

Great Hawkeye by Khoi Pham!  He was a great guest at Mid-Ohio last year and I was lucky to have him do a Wolverine sketch on one of the variant program guide covers.

idea to do with the program guides.A completely blank cover with
MOC logo,maybe?

It was definitely popular last year, so I'm hoping that we'll be able to do it again this year.

I received a package from Eduardo Barreto, for those not familiar with Ed's
work he has been working for DC for years, on such series as New Teen
Titans and Shadow Strikes. He is currently working on a new GN, Sinbad
Coils of the Serpent, which he is penciling and inking. I saw a number of
pieces for the GN, one really blew me away, it might be used for the
cover. I am thrilled to own it. I also picked up a King Kull pinup he did for
Jim Van Hise's Sword & Fantasy. Has a really mixture of cultures,
Mayan/Aztec and Indian, the piece spoke to me when I first saw it and had
to have it.

Nice pages.  Good to see Barreto's health is such that he's doing work.

Beautiful Barreto pieces!

(BTW: I believe Ed has a son named Diego who is an artist. He did
some fill-Ins for Peter Krause on IRREDEEMABLE. Pretty nice stuff!)
