I've had my eye on this one for a long time - Aquired from the Honorable Jim Warden the other day. This is a stunning piece of terrible beauty. The scans really do not do it justice. Here is a link to the pencils in the gallery http://www.artofjohnbyrne.com/gallery/pencils/action/action8 33pencils/ACTION833.05.jpg.php

I'm not too familiar with Rapmund's inks in general but they are perfect for this piece and he was obviously excited about the work - see writing on back...

Had my eye on this one for a while too - got it along with the page above. Scans look funky in the middle due to scanning each page in two parts...

Great stuff guys. Great choices for Todd, Bill. Those turned out amazing!

That Hardman Dr. Who is great, Jon. Were you at Emerald City this weekend?

The Prototykes rock!!

Yeah, I had tickets for all three days but I skipped Sunday. Did anyone here go Sunday? I was curious if dealers would be trying to unload stuff at a discount just so they didn't have to load it all back up and the end of the night.

Jon -

I *only* went on Sunday, so I don't have anything to compare it to. There were a *bunch* of 50% off bins, but I have the feeling there were like that the whole con.

I was there until they flashed the lights for us to leave, and saw no dealers making deals.

Nice Swan page, Lloyd, but Abel's inks are pretty over-powering.

Totally agree, Andrew---I'd love to see what the original pencils looked like!

I met Ariel Olivetti at the NYCC in the fall of 2010 and was lucky enough to score a stunning Namor piece he had done. After hearing that he only accepts commissions that will be picked up in person at conventions, I asked him to create a piece featuring a childhood favorite of mine, done in his amazing style...... with mind-blowing results!! Done in colored pencil.... which also is incredible to see up close.

Special thanks to Jason Hickok, who has agreed to pick this up for me!
