Paul got himself a new scanner!

I am still mad about the Master of Kung Fu page!  Both Paul and I were watching the same auction site and they had maybe 4-5 Kung Fu pages.  They all went super cheap except for the one I bid high on!  I bid higher than all the other Kung Fu pages combined and still couldn't get it!

Paul gets that splash without even trying hard to get it!  =P

I knew he had a bid on that one so obviously I did not try to outbid him.

Awesome stuff though!

SWEET!

Okay, I have to say this mushy stuff: I've seen this other art collecting forum, and the stuff people post there....well, it's crap. I can't relate to it or even get excited looking at it. Most of it is newer then the empty coke cans in my studio, and I don't even know who any of the artists are.

cuz they stink.  (I kid, I kid...) :)

But here... I don't know what it is about you humps, but most of you have good taste.

jerks.

I need help with this one. I don't know who did this cover. Inks could possibly be Sinnott. Pencils maybe Ron Wilson (major grooves in art, which is something he is known for).

The faces and feet on your Captain Britain cover match Ron Wilson's work in the late 70s.  Giacoia and Palmer are credited with inking other covers in that run - this looks more likes Giacoia's style to me.

Lloyd, that Schaffenberger page is a thing of beauty.

Dave, glad I could make you jealous on my new finds. Wait till you see the Mary Worth strips!! In regards to selling or trading those pieces. The Captain Britain cover is the only one I'm married to. We'll see with the others.

George, thanks for your insight. I figured it was Wilson on pencils. The motif for most of those issues seemed to be as Kirby as possible. Without using Kirby.

Thanks for the kind words, guys---and Dave is right on that this is the best online community of art collectors anywhere!

Joe M., that MTIO #50 page featuring Thing vs Thing is incredible! I can only imagine how it looks in person.

Paul, love the Hawkman pages! In many ways, Dick Giordano defined DC Comics to me---his characters always look just right!
