Why does that tell you he's seen the movies?  Maybe I'm missing something.

The claws coming out of his knuckles instead of the top of his hands, I'd guess.

The vampire teeth are an indication of his insight on the character as well.

I sent an email to Jim "Barry Allen" Warden last week, and this has wound its way to me incredibly quickly.

Wow, the look of utter shock, dismay and skepticism over the discovery of John Byrne's signiture should send shockwaves across the internet!

Some of you might remember that when my son turned 21, I commissioned Fred Hembeck to do a special Pokemon "across the page" drawing. Well, my daughter just turned 21, so as I didn't want to play favorites I figured she, too, should possess her own Hembeck commission. Alison's a big Doctor Who fan (like her Dad) so it wasn't hard to pick a theme for the piece. Here's what Fred came up with...

Interestingly, I didn't ask Fred to leave the mouth off of gobby Donna. I wonder if he's seen the odd episode or two?

Edited to add: I love the Cyberman's swirly kneecaps. I wonder if I should have asked for swirly Dalek bumps!

Well! I just picked up a new JB page from the post office - the unpublished JB WW McDonalds page.

I'll post pics when I get a moment. It's beautiful close up. Great details, and hey! Unpublished page from one of my favorite JB runs! And with the odd-ball curiousity of it being a fast-food tie-in! I love it!
