Nice Vokes piece Melvin....Nice Hembeck also, Wilson. Hembeck was always one of the best parts of any DC comic back in the 70/80s when they used to do the Daily Planet page......

Was re-organizing my commision scan files and thought I would share this one. This Perez piece was done at the Big Apple Con show when they were held at Madison Square Garden in 2003. At that point George acknowledged that this was the first time he ever drew the original Red Tornado....Enjoy...

Fred,

That issue of Spidey was my very first! (Ah, the memories.)

X-Men: the Hidden Years #14, pg 19

Pencils by John Byrne, inks by Tom Palmer

Got this one last week, courtesy of the terrific Jim Warden.  When I think of the X-Men, this is the team I think of first.  Love the mood that JB evokes with this page.

Super Friends #27 pg 14

Pencils by Ramona Fradon, inks by Bob Smith

I've been wanting a Fradon piece for a while now.  Throw in the Super-mobile, and it was a done deal.

I had contacted George before the New York show and sent him the refernce from the Joe Shuster Action #1 for the 'S' shield and the boot area of the costume....George's wife gave him the reference for the clothes that Lois is wearing in the piece from some vintage clothes catalogues from the period. I was very happy with the piece when he finished it.......Brian
