"Joe, I LOVE the Beyonder piece! I'm surprised you have Thanos instead of Darkseid, but it's awesome!"
*******
I was a MARVEL kid. This is a tribute to SECRET WARS and the first INFINITY GAUNTLET series from the ten year old version of myself.

Cool FCBD pick-ups, Roger. Joe, it takes a special artist to make the Beyonder look cool. Frenz is one of them. I really think this is a great commission. Kevin, those Hardman pieces are incredible. Bill, I really get a kick out of your Multiverse theme. The Fraga piece is nice.

Paul,
I'm glad you think Frenz pulled it off. SECRET WARS and The Beyonder are in a category of things that I thought were awesome when I was a kid and when I revisited them later I realized they were....well, let's say they didn't hold up. The GI JOE cartoon from the 80s fits in this category as well. In my mind there's an awesome Beyonder character that never quite appeared in any actual comics. This is my little attempt to bring some of my imagination to life.

He also drew him when he was on ASM. Great commission.

Wow, for some reason I've always thought you were my my age or my senior (at least slightly), young man. ;)
Excellent piece, btw.

That is a great pick up, Joe. I have to admit I was in college when THE INFINITY GAUNTLET came out. Now that makes me feel old. =)

Ah!! The Blue Beetle and Takion leading the team. I dig it. Bill, with your Multiverse pieces do you ask for certain characters or do you let the artist decide on who to include?
