Love that Andru page, Fred---especially the variety of "camera" angles. Dynamic work!

Both the Andru and Buscema/Sinnott pages are fantastic. Congrats! My birthday is tomorrow, so feel free to gift me with either one. You know . . . just if you wanna. :)

Lloyd, the dramatic change in perspective adds significantly to the illussion of the scene taking place at sea. Based on his many other tricks over the years, I would imagine that Andru somehow knew this when laying the page out. One could get seasick if staring at the page too long!

I should be getting this stuff scanned tomorrow but I couldn't wait any longer! Here are some digital pics of the art I picked up at the highly underrated Gem City Comic Con last weekend. First up, Superman by Dan Davis! I'm working on a JLA theme with Mr. Davis and I've been very happy with the results so far:

Don Rosa does fantastic free sketches! You just supply the paper, name the character and tell him the emotion you want the character showing. For my first Rosa sketch I had to go with a grumpy Scrooge McDuck!
It was great watching Rosa throw down the lines on the paper that quickly formed into a perfect Uncle Scrooge!
