David, I'm still jealous of your Pacheco GL. I'm not happy unless I rule the Green Lantern art world! :) A pox on those collectors with Gil Kane, Neal Adams or Dave Gibbons Green Lantern pages. They all should be mine! But I'll be generous and let Ted own a small Gil Kane piece once I dominate the market.

i sat up till about 3 in the morning waiting for the auction end, and fell asleep before the end of the auction.sigh
got outbid by about $2.
curse the international time difference!!!

I was beat out on the last Hembeck Green Lantern Corps piece by a dollar. I was on vacation at the time and couldn't keep my eyes on the bidding. I feel your pain.

Was Buckler charging? Everytime I went by his booth he wasn't there or was busy with a couple others and I didn't want to bother him when he had a crowd. I'd sell my right leg, heel spurs and all for that Captain MArvel piece...

Yes Buckler was charging. I caught him at his booth at the end of Saturday. His wife had my Alan Scott piece waiting first thing Sunday. I saw him walking around all day Sunday, but never at his table.

Paul wonderful Rude piece. I've had opportunity to commision pieces from him through his wife Jaynelle. And I have never been disappointed.... If I may respond to you Jason regarding Mr. Buckler. The number of times Mr. Buckler has been at the Big Apple Con and I have gotten con commisions from him, his average price range runs from $75 to $150 depending on what you want(headshot, full figure) and if inked...... Good luck on getting the commision from him that you want Jason.......Brian

Wilson, I have a sketchbook that folks can work in. The loose sketches and pages I buy I carry an 11x17 portfolio to store them.

Paul beat me to the sketchbook answer. Usually at conventions you can find someone selling large mylar, or mylar-like, sleeves. I'll usually put my loose art in there. When I flew back from Baltimore this year, I had my art in the mylar sleeve in-between a few pieces of heavy cardboard in my suitcase (old school hard sided Samsonite) and it survived the trip just fine.
