GARY FRANK piece I just bought recently.  I just need to get a piece from the Superman work he has been doing.  Gary does a great job on paying tribute to Christopher Reeve.

James, that Sean Chen's Spider-Man commission is freakin' awesome man!  I'm a big fan of his work and looking forward to getting something from him in the future.  Very nice pick-up.

Nice stuff, James--I especially like the Gary Frank piece! I've really been enjoying his work on Superman, and was lucky enough to get a nice page from his "Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes" storyline. Even more than the Reeve likeness (which I like), I appreciate that his Superman is not an over-muscled caricature like so many other modern depictions tend to be.

Thanks Sebastien and Lloyd.  I love Sean Chen and Gary Frank.  I would have to say they are both in my top 5 artists of all time.  Along with John Byrne.  Good for you Lloyd on getting a Frank Superman piece.

I love the Sean Chen piece, James.  One of my favorites and finally was able to be at a show he was attending (Baltimore '09).  Needless to say I jumped all over getting a Captain America done.

Lloyd - Great stuff and keep it up!

Isn't Alex Saviuk is mainly known for doing the Spider-Man newspaper strip?

I'd say Saviuk is most known for his long run on Web of Spider-Man. He also had decent runs on Green Lantern and Action Comics in the late 70's and early 80's. An artist who has worked on plenty of titles, but never became a "star".

That's definitely what I know him for!  His impressive run lasted from February 1988 to September 1994!  80+ issues!

I think I've posted this before, but as long as we're spreading love for Mr. Saviuk, here's my Web of Spider-Man page:

Very nice Joe H.  Alex currently has a very nice page from Web of Spider-Man on ebay right now.  It features Spider-Man in several panel.  If I were richer, I would jump all over it, but my baby boy needs his milk!

He is definitely one of the most underrated Spider-Man artist.

Wilson Mui - He does in fact ink the newspaper dailies drawn by Larry Lieber and I believe he pencils the Sunday ones, which are inked by Joe Sinnott.

Also, Saviuk's pricing is super reasonable.  You can get some pretty nice drawings for very little money (well little compared to some of the "hotter" artists).
