More from MidOhioCon:

Sandman and Doctor Octopus by Fred Hembeck.  Knowing Fred is a huge Ditko fan (like me) I decided to have him draw two classic Ditko villains for me:

I posted some "in progress" photos of this one in the MidOhioCon thread.  Mister Miracle by Chris Sprouse:

Last year Giarrusso did a great Lightray/Mister Miracle sketch for me.  This year I went with Metron and Black Racer!

I always think it's fun to get different artist's takes on Darkseid.  This is Skullboy and X-Babies artist Jacob Chabot's version of Apokolips' ruler:

Herb Trimpe was the star of Mid-Ohio-Con.  I have a Trimpe cover recreation in my collection but I decided I needed something with his more modern style to it.  I went with something a little unusual although Herb is definitely associated with both characters (one more than the other....).  Here's Herb's take on The Incredible Hulk vs Damien Hellstorm, Son of Satan!

Ron Frenz was the number one artist at MidOhioCon that I was excited to meet.  His Thor run in the late 80s was one of the first comic series that I fell in love with.  The first Thor comic I read was #384.  Here is Dargo, the Thor of the Future from that very issue!

Love the Frenz Darco -- he always delivers with the Thor characters.

Joe - Your pieces this year were just amazing.  I don't think I saw the Chabot piece until now.  I have to say he really brought it at the MOC.  Beautiful!

Joe has me thinking I should try to make it to Mid-Ohio Con next year... (assuming a similar guest list).

And now, because Fred Chamberlain demanded it:  my Baltimore Comicon swag!

First up, by Franco:
