Re: The JSA/Invaders piece: WHOA! Are those all JB's pencils? If so that would be the first time he's been inked by Kevin Nowlan. What's the vintage?

Vinny---I purchased this off of another Byrne fan on ebay a little over a month ago, according to the original owner he commisioned this shortly after the Captain America/Batman book. It is all Byrne pencils under the inks.

Wow. Just Wow. That piece belongs in the gallery, methinks!

You need to try to get Joe Kubert to ink Hawkman :)

Vinny---Joe Kubert would be a perfect fit for Hawkman. I sat down with the piece when it arrived and thought of him and Murphy Anderson for the Batman figure. Anyone on the boards here have contact information for either gentlemen? And does anyone know if Joe is doing another round of sketches like he did over a year ago via his school?

I used to love the idea of Nowlan over Byrne.  I was wrong.  To much Byrne is lost.

Geoff- to be fair, there's not much Byrne in those loose pencils. There's not much Byrne left in any of those poses except Supes.
Brian- that guy on eBay has a great JSA collection! I have Murphy Anderson's info, so shoot me an email. Not sure if you'll have any luck, but it's worth a try, If you live in New Jersey, you could take it to him! Kubert's info would be through the school website.
You might also try Ordway for one of them. Tha t would be cool!
Congrats on that one!
