Ryan, while you're back in time, try also to convince JB to not to leave AF (or even Uncanny X-Men for that matter)...  The resulting alternate-timeline versions of ourselves will greatly appreciate it.

John, unfortunately I don't own any JB covers (and only have two more original AF pages to post).  Actually inquired to Jim Warden about the cover to AF #3 at the time, and was told that it was NFS.  AF #4 is a nice Marrina cover, indeed!

Maybe I'm thinking of AF # 3 -- the Aurora cover with the white bars, all black and white.  Was that # 3?

Wasn't that the one I heard sold on eBay for a ridiculously low amount a few years back?  The guy did a Buy It Now without realizing the value of the piece?

Yep the cover had a buy it now of somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,
I spotted it in ebay's completed items just about a hour after it
sold...bummer!

It was about 2 years ago btw

It was a awesome Thing vs Colossus fight page from that issue. It was also around $350.

....and yes, I wear a top hat when posting on the JBF just in case I have to tip
it in turn of the century style respect to fellow forum members.

Tim could you do me the honor of tippin' that ol' Abe Lincoln top hat in my
direction for that awesome good deed I did many years ago... but I'm to old
to remember what it was... and if I did remember, I'm just too darn humble
to admit it.

Consider it tipped, Steve!

I also wear a monocle when reading the JBF. So when I get shocked at
something, my eyebrows shoot up and my monocle falls out. I've tipped
many a hat and dropped many a monocle at the JBF!
