This is the original art page that JB did for AF#4.  According to the letter enclosed by Jim Warden (and this was 15 years ago), copies were made of this page and then lettered.  According to Jim, this page has JB's original script as he wrote it and also his hand-lettering.

I'll be posting the published AF page right after uploading this one.

Oh yeah, replaced my previously posted AF page from yesterday, so head up-thread if you're interested.

The published art page as a comparison:

Jim Warden included these as part of the sale involving the original art pages.

Sketchy situations....

A couple more pieces of my remaining art collection, such as it is.

King Arthur from Camelot 3000....

FREE ART!!  Jeff Smith was having a signing, and I had some question about Thorn (from Bone).  I expected some short answer, but instead he went off on a long explanation and starts sketching on the backboard of the book I brought as he goes.  Must have thrilled the people behind me in line to no end, but it was exceptionally cool....  Wish I could remember what the question was at this point.

Nice sketches, Steve!

Unexpected doodles and autograph art are always a wonderful bonus when meeting and interacting with the artists you admire.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Claudio.... It was actually my wife who "saved" it for me.  I was getting ready to sell it with everything else, but she insisted I save it.  This, despite the fact that I had picked it up before I even met her, and indeed she had never ever READ Camelot 3000.

Bill that AF is amazing, and I particularly like that bit of gravy with JB's script being on it as well, so to speak.  Awesome!

Thanks guys!

I've got more AF pages, but I'll just be putting up the original art ones from now on (unless people really want to see the published copy pages as comparisions).

And this can't be repeated enough:  JB and Jim Warden are awesome!

Looking forward to seeing them!  And I can figure out if they are worth the breaking and entering charges.
