I have to say, the Byrne/Palmer combo didn't do much for me when I was buying that book new, even though they are my favorite artist and inker.  I've definitely developed an appreciation for it since then, though. Great page!

Palmer isn't my favorite inker for JB either, though their combo evoked a sense of the Adams/Palmer X-Men run that I appreciate.

I love Palmer's ins with JB's pencils. Gonna have to seek out and finally read some Hidden Years, methinks...

Nice page, Lloyd!

I'm gone a few days and all these great pieces.

Great JB Xmen piece, love the emotions.

Great Hembeck pieces, always love to see them, they always bring a smile to my day.

Here's a new one  I haven't gotten the physical art yet but this scan just showed up in my in-box.  Jeff's work is amazing and once I saw his Hollow Earth series I knew that I wanted him to do something for me.  Adding Doc and the Phantom to his gift for dinosaurs was an easy leap to make.  Plus, he's a very nice guy.

Action Comics #437, pg 4

Pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Kurt Schaffenberger

Curt Swan is my favorite Superman artist--I grew up with his outstanding work on the Superman family of titles.  I'd been looking for an iconic representation of Superman by Swan, and this one does not disappoint:  the shirt rip is one of my favorite super-motifs.  Swan's Green Arrow isn't too shabby either.
