Martin,
Always classed that issue as one of JB's good inks, especially on the Thing. (Inking wise, favourites are 260-264) Are you able to tell what was used?
Or if you're reading JB, what did you use?
Thanks.

Chris:
I agree that these issues, and these pages, have some great inking. Hard for me to say what these were inked with, though. I'm no expert. I'm noticing a combination of thin, even lines like you might get with a rapidograph or something like that. Also seeing some lines with varying weights, like a brush or a brush-pen (did they even make those back then?).
Whatever the tools, it looks great!

Joe-
Make that 3 FF pages. I already had this page in my posession. And since I have 3/4 team members on 3 pages, I guess it's just a matter of time before I get a 4th page with the Invisible Woman on it (and no jokes about her already being in every panel, just invisible, please!).

Thanks for the response, Martin.
I've always thought that it was a combination of fibre-tip with brush for the heavy lines. Technical pens for the mechanical lines. That's the sort of look I''m after. The quest continues.
This gives me a reason to dig out those issues and read them again.
That does mean that I'd really have to start from 232. Oh well, if it needs to be done...

That Ditko page is absolutely gorgeous. Love the definition on the muscles.
I love seeing art in its raw form like that. I never cared a lot for Ditko's inked work but I love his pencilled stuff...
