I'd picked up a Superman / Galactus piece from the Brothers Fraim a while ago and thought it cool enough I asked them to do a couple of other pieces for me.  A couple of Kirby inspired homages.

The first has the 50's Avengers and DC's Lord of Time in a layout from the Avengers.  I think it's a good, solid piece:

Then they did this Challengers piece.  Here I really think they hit it outta the park.

the monsters are early Marvel / Atlas era beasties.

And since I thought they did uch I great job I decided to get it colored.  I went to our own very talented (and vey much missed) Gerry Turnbull.

This has become one of my favorite pieces.  Just great.  Just great.

Great pieces, always enjoyed the Challengers stories, wish they used them more as well as the Sea Devils. miss the early 60's, had some great material there.

Dave.

I believe that Gomdulla--The Living Pharaoh (or maybe Mummex, King of the Mummies or the Mummy that Walks - take your pick!); Robot X and the Thing Called.... It!

I just love those old Marvel monsters!  Thanks for sharing these with us Kevin, they're both spectacular!

Check out Gary Land's Comicartfans gallery for the FF pages. He still has
some from that issue available, including the page with the cover shot (an
homage to FF#1)

The Fraim brothers are great! I commissioned them to do a multiverse piece!

Should be receiving this one by the end of the week, second piece from Mr. Espy:

Daredevil and the Black Widow vs. Batman and Batgirl, 16x22.

There's a better scan at my CAF, lost a lot of detail in reducing the size.
