Gerry, that's a great recreation by Mac and an excellent coloring job as well. I'm curious how you created the "old comic book page" look around the edge of the art.

Thanks Gerry.  That was done with brush and ink, no pencils.  Seemed to do it in a matter of seconds.  Genius!!

I've got the finals for some absolutely gorgeous work from our own Thanos Kollias.  I think this stuff is pretty much phenomenal.

First is a piece inspired by Marvel's old Handbooks.

Then there is this piece, a truly loving tribute to Superman #8 and Fantastic Four #249.

and because Thanos ~rules~, a second appearance by the Super-Skrull.

and the best part?  I've got one more coming (oohIcan'twait).

thanks Thanos!

Wow. Love the Buscema Thor.

Chris, how long did it take him to do that sketch?

Have to agree with Bill Raupp.  That Ultron piece is really nice.

Michael, I blinked a couple of times and it appeared.

Slightly amusing story attached to that sketch as well.  (although I suppose everyone else will be the judge of that)

The queue for him went on for what seemed like miles, so we all slowly edge our way forward.  The person before me asked for Silver Surfer, who I actually wanted, but I thought that it would be stupid for two people to get the same person.  I was then going to go for She-Hulk as it was his run on Avengers that got me into comics, and she's a bit of a babe.  When I went to ask him, he stopped me, saying that he wanted a short break.  He then said, 'You've all been looking at me for a couple of hours, so now I'm gong to look at you.'  I tried to make small talk, (enjoying your stay over here, how long are you here for, etc) but he asked if I could just be quiet and let him rest. And he sat there just looking at the world passing by.  And everyone else in the queue is looking at me, thinking what am I doing holding the line up.  This went on for about ten minutes.

Then when he finally says who did I want I couldn't remember.  So in a panic the splash page from Avengers 281 popped into my head, and I rather excitedly shouted 'Thor!'.

'Okay, Thor it is.'
