My basic inspiration for the piece was what would it had looked like when the Earth 2 Superman first introduced Power Girl to his wife Lois after Kara landed on earth. By the way, one question for my fellow posters can anyone suggest a scanner that is large enough to scan a comic book cover? Thanks, Brian Morris

Brian, that Ordway is a thing of beauty! I always thought Ordway was much more suited to the Golden Age Superman--and that Power Girl has just enough Wally Wood to make her classic as well. Kudos, sir!

George---I'm looking for a large enough scanner to be able to scan an original comic book artwork page/cover. As well as some of my larger piece, unfortunately the scanners on all-in-one printers only are big enough and as you see with the Ordway piece chops off parts of the artwork. The Ordway piece is a regular 11" x 17" comic book artwork page. For anyone who can suggest one thanks.... Brian Morris

In that case, I can tell you that I've had excellent success with a "Mustek Scan Express A3 1200 Pro USB Large Format Scanner". I run it on my PC/Windows XP operating system. It set up with no problems in 15 minutes. It is wider and longer than 11 x 17 inch pages. The software that it comes with is easy to use. You can set it up to get really high DPI scans or turn it down for smaller images appropriate for posting on the web.
Do a search on Amazon and you will see new ones for sale for $171. Crazy to think that large format scanners were once almost 2 grand!

Several new arrivals at the Phelps household. All of which have been posted online elsewhere to save me the trouble of scanning them myself. :-)
First up, my Christmas miracle was finally getting on Mike Grell's list. Even better, he let me book two pics. A fairly short turnaround time later and...
