Thanks, Paul, and awesome Star Wars piece there.
Have yto say that Wilson strikes me as a worthy Blueberry successor to Giraud.

way back in 1978,Neal Adams released 3 portfolios of his Tarzan covers for the Ballantine books. The folder that contained the portfolio had a stunning illustration by Neal of Tarzan.I asked Joe to recreate this in black and white for me.Joe emailed me tonite with this scan.to say  im thrilled with the result is an understatement

A nice 80s flashback, always loved Bill Willingham's Elementals (Comico),
and I just
picked up a nice wraparound cover from the Fathom miniseries by Bill.

Dave,
Not sure how long it took for Gerry's piece but its been about 6 months on
my Uncanny X-Men #153 cover recreation. Joe's been busy with published
work, which is a good thing in this day and age.

[KEVIN SHAKES HIS FIST AT BRIAN]

I've forgotten how long I've been looking for a Willingham Elemental piece - and you had to go get a great one like that.

Hey Brian,

Mate, I came so close to submitting further bids on that piece but guessed it might be you so I held off :)  Glad to know that I was right - congrats!  Warm regards,

Royd (who's happy with his one Bill Willingham Ironwood page but wouldn't say no to more of Bill's work :))

Hey Paul,

Thanks for mentioning that I'm handling the sale of Colin Wilson's original artwork.  I thought I'd expand on your post with the following details on Colin's work history:

Colin doesn’t have a high profile in Australia or even the USA but his work is very well known in the UK and Europe where he worked extensively for various European publishers.  Colin’s early work started in 1980 when he moved to London and created stories for 2000AD including stories featuring Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper.

Colin subsequently moved to Paris a few years later where he was chosen by Jean (Moebius) Giraud to work on the Western adventures of “Blueberry” leaving the book in the 1990s.  Colin continued to work for various European publishers before moving to Australia in 1996 where he created further work for 2000AD.

Since moving back to Australia, Colin has worked on a number of UK and European books (“Headshots”, “Tex Willer”, “Rain Dogs”, “Tor Cyan”).  More recently, he has created work for the US market on such titles as “Point Blank” (Wildstorm, Ed Brubaker writing), “Losers” (DC/Vertigo) and “Battler Britton” (Wildstorm, Garth Ennis writing).

“Headshots” was only very recently optioned as a movie by Warner Bros. and the producers of Smallville (Millar/Gough) are producing the movie property.

Colin is currently illustrating Star Wars titles (“Legacy” and “Rebellion”) for Dark Horse as well as occasional forays into the gaming market with a comic tie-in for the Bionic Commando game.

I'll be handling the sale of work from all the works mentioned above with one or two exceptions where the originals have already been sold.  Most are still available as Colin has not sold much of his work.

Best,

Royd
