Joe, that's Brent Anderson's signature at the bottom of the page. Since I'm in the posting groove this evening, here are the pencils for an X-Men commision that Brent is working on for me currently.

James- great stuff!
Keep us posted about the Anderson commision,as I've always wanted to get a drawing from him. I look forward to seeing the results!

Dave- Great drawing! How do I know Deon? Do I know Deon? How does he know me? I must be losing it...

Superman & Batman: Generations 2 #4, pg 27

Art by John Byrne

With special thanks to Jim Warden:  I've been looking for an image of Bruce Wayne in costume but unmasked, and this one is excellent--I especially like JB's tweaks to the classic costume.  I also am very fond of the concept of the 'older hero' and love the scene of a graying Superman and Batman.

And in an entirely different vein...

Batman Family #10, pg 12

Pencils by Bob Brown, inks by Vince Colleta

From 1977: Two of Batman's villains from days gone by--Killer Moth and the Cavalier.  I miss the days when villains like these could be--and were--credible threats for the Caped Crusader (well, Batgirl and Batwoman in this case).

James Henry:

Uncanny X-Men #144 page 1 by Brent Anderson and Joe Rubinstein

James, Very COOL PAGE! Congrats. I remember that 1st page. It was the first issue without Byrne and Austin and it took a while to get over the withdrawl!

Congrats on the Cockrum Storm piece, its one on the best by Dave I have
seen. Now I can tell my friend, who he lost to for the Storm piece.

A guilty pleasure of mine back back in the 80's was Legend of the
Stargrazers from Innovation. Adam Hughes did the covers for the 6 issues
(very early in his career). I was lucky enough to get the cover to issue one. It
arrived today.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

Brian, hopefully you can tell your friend that Storm ended up in good hands.

Paul, I'll definitely post the commission when it's finished. He's going to do the finished product on end pages of one of my bound volumes of the Uncanny X-Men, so I'm psyched for that.

John, I agree that the Byrne-Austin magic was a tough act to follow. Fortunately for me, I was late to the X-Men party and read God Loves, Man Kills before I read Byrne's X-Men in reprints, so the transition wasn't as abrupt.
