Action Comics #864, pg 19

Pencils by Joe Prado, inks by Jon Sibal

Nice page by Joe Prado and Jon Sibal, from the great storyline bringing back the original Legion of Super-Heroes to Superman lore. Here, Lightning Lad gives Superman his old flight ring back before returning to the 31st century. I'm glad to see Superboy (and Superman) back in the Legion!

Superboy #10, pg 13

Pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Ty Templeton

Nice Curt Swan page depicting Lex Luthor and Superboy in the Phantom Zone, using Kryptonian crystal tech to witness Jor-El's futile pleas to the Science Council of Krypton. I never get tired of Swan's Superman or Superboy---simply definitive.

The black widow art is really really nice. I may be wrong, but her pose is highly familiar with a panel during her first appearance in her new costume. (I think it is in Amazing Spider-Man #86)

Just picked this one up. It's from Frank Roberge's comic strip Mrs. Fritz's Flats.

Lloyd- Love the Swan page. Templeton's inks over his pencils made for a great combination, imo.

I like the approach to grey tones Templeton approached. From what I have seen of Swan's pencils, he used a lot of grey tones that are almost impossible to translate by inkers.

Really nice Swan. Until I joined this forum, I'll admit, I'd never heard of Curt Swan. But all these beautiful pages has made me a fan.

"I'll admit, I'd never heard of Curt Swan"

It's like never having heard of John Byrne, look ashamed and for punishment you should buy everyone here on the forum a John Byrne commission of their choosing....

Dr. Faustus.
