Wilson-
yikes! Thanks for buying that one, although I would really appreciate it if your daughter could through some color on it to help it out some... In my defense, there are some grey markers on that drawing that look black in that scan...
(sure, that'll save it...)

Sal Buscema's certainly still has it. Awesome pick up, Paul. Only thing that could've been sweeter would've been a Buscema Hulk.

Joakim, I know I'm in the minority but when I think of Sal I think of Spider-Man. (And sometimes Rom.) I was never the biggest Hulk fan growing up. I read it here and there (mostly reprints of Trimpe's stuff), but I was hooked on Sal's work through Spectacular. Thanks for all the compliments guys.

Well, I've not had the opportunity to read Rom (here's hoping for an Essential), but I do appreciate Sal on Spider-Man (he was there when Puma was introduced among other things right?), but Hulk was my first Marvel hero and I think that the Buscema period is probably the highest mark of the character (I'm so glad that the Essentials are catching up to that point, just hope they keep going at least all the way through Sal's run).

No, that was earlier...in the Ron Frenz/Tom DeFalco ASM issues. but Hulk was my first Marvel hero and I think that the Buscema period is probably the highest mark of the character
To this day, when I think of the Hulk, the first image that pops into my head is a Sal Buscema Hulk.

You and me both, Joel. And thanks for the Puma bit. Having read that in over here in the Swedish Spider-Man title (Spindelmannen), I'm bad at knowing where which thing was originally from. Don't know why I'd gotten it in my mind that Sal was doing the art there, but then again, I haven't seen those issues for oodles of years.
