Guess it must be that old U.S. alphabet again, never could grasp the English language as well as my teacher wanted. Either way a nice piece to have in your collection....

Dave.

It was my son's 21st birthday yesterday & I wanted to get him something that would remind him of the good times we shared as he was growing up. As we both enjoyed Fred Hembeck's work, and as we bonded over Pokemon in his early teen years, there was really only one obvious solution.

I'm unfamiliar with all of the characters except that little guy in the center of the piece, but what a cool piece for your son. Congrats!

Quick question for the thread (didn't want to start a new one): I just purchased and received a piece of original art (not a comic page) that was done on bristol board and when I received it, the artist had rolled it up and mailed it in a tube! I've bought $25 pieces that were shipped flat. This cost 10 times that and he rolled it up. Has this happened to anyone else?

ugh, luckily, nope. I could see prints being done this way, but even that might bug me, depending on the cost of the print.

Believe me I wasn't happy. The art was already done and it took six weeks to get and then I get it rolled up. Now I have the artwork sandwiched between to pieces of paper and weight put on top of it. I have to wait until it's flat before I can think about getting it framed.

edited: wait for weight
