"Nice covers, Martin.  Fred really did a terrific job for you.
Any special reason for choosing these covers to have recreated?"

"Love the Mystic cover Martin! Do you actually have that particular comic?"

Thanks.  I've been having Fred do some covers that were significant for me.  So, he's done Incredible Hulk #209 (my first non-cartoon tie in book).  Micronauts was the first book I read regularly, the first one I ever ordered a back issue of, and when it went direct market only, the book that introduced me to the existence of comic shops.  I chose #8 because it featured the entire team, plus a gigantic Baron Karza.

As for Mystic, I wish I had it (my Timely collection consists of 2 All Selects, 1 Marvel Mystery, and one Daring Comics).  I wanted a cover with the Destroyer on it, since he was the first non-big 3 Timely hero I ever read.  Still like the costume and the character.  It was a toss-up between issues 6 and 7, but 7 had the ultimate super-villain on it too, so it wasn't too hard a choice.

Next?  Not sure.  Probably a Marvel Godzilla comic!

Hmmm....my first comic was X-Men #171 (where Rogue joined the team). Cover by Simonson. That one would make for a nice Hembeck!

That Liefeld Batman is rough.

How much is a Liefeld commission anyway (not interested, just curious to know if he has enough of a fan base to support big money commissions)?

Dan,

That doesn't look like Jim Lee to me at all.  What makes you say that?
