Just noticed on it how Aurora is leaving at one end (right side) of the commission and popping in behind her brother whose foot is seen ahead of her. Talk about fast siblings.

Paul, your Hembeck cracks me up.  Kree-Skrull war on a Secret Invasion 1 sketch cover.  How appropriate.

Ryan, your Hembeck is funny too.  That hairy Puck really makes the piece fun.  Thanks for sharing.

Here is a new Superman piece I picked up off of ebay.It is Superman #50 page 12, from 1990. Drawn by Curt Swan and according to the seller and the Comic Book Database, it was inked by Mr. John Byrne! Can anybody confirm this? It does not have Superman in it but I just love the "regular day" feel of the page.

(sigh)  I have GOT to get me a Swan page sometime...

In the meantime, I did get a big box o' Hembeck in today.  (Gotta do my part to serve this board's apparent mission of financing his retirement. ;-) )

The first pic was the All-Star Winners "cover" a few pages back.  Next is a pic he did for ebay with the Little Lulu cast as the original Justice League:

The other three all relate to my "JSA vs. Spider-Man Villains" series.  First up is the "normal" addition to the series:  Mr. Terrific, Red Tomato - sorry Red Tornado - and Wildcat vs. the Big Man and the Enforcers.  (Thanks to Wes Wescovich for suggesting Wildcat vs. the Enforcers and Bob Neill for mentioning Red Tornado.)

And these are other two are the last of three companion pieces for the series.  Special thanks to the technicalities that allowed me to use Hembeck for these without feeling like I was breaking my rules for the series. :-)  I should probably wait to post these when the last of the normal match-ups have come in, but... nah.

The purpose of these two pieces was to answer what I felt were two questions left open.  First, what about the villains who didn't make the cut?

Yes, I know I could have done more doubling up like I did with the crowd in JB's Green Lantern shot, but this way was more fun.  :-)

(For those wondering why Hembeck's writing skills have deteriorated, the dialogue was all me.  And seeing the signature in the bottom left corner seriously made my week.)

And last but not least, the second open question - if the JSA are busy taking care of Spider-Man's villains, what about the JSA's villains?

(sigh) Poor Spidey...  ;-)
