Yeah, me too! ;-)
Well, of the 14 pieces left to go (12 normal & 2 "companion" pieces), I have 12 booked, 1 I'm waiting to get a quote for and only 1 that's currently lacking an artist (I'm waiting for my first pick's schedule to open up). So it's just a question of waiting for my name to pop up on their respective lists...

Great pick ups John P. and Dave. I've never been a big Isherwood fan, but that piece is incredible.

The Widows nest has begun construction, with the foundation being Mr. Byrne and Mr. Cockrum, just got in a Mike Zeck,
and the next box contained a Mr. Ernie Chan...
and of course I couldn't resist the temtation to ask for another red-headed heroine...
Thanks to everyone here, I have officially caught the bug,
Dave.

Good point, now to find room on the walls for these treasures. Tough
part was deciding on which character to choose when requesting
commisions, I decided to stick with one, but didn't want to "copy"
everyone else. May need to send the wife to work to keep this addiction
going.
Dave.

Thank you, Mr. White,
What was your first piece that got you reeled in? Mine was just looking
at some of the stuff Mr. Byrne was displaying and something in the back
of my mind snapped.
It is fun though.
Dave.

David,
This is the first piece I ever bought:
Like you, I caught the bug from seeing all the great works on this site. I picked this page in particular because there is just something about it that reminded me on an elemental level just how much I enjoyed comics in the first place. There's just something about owning a piece of the history of the hobby--almost like being able to actually meet the characters.

nice page, nice of Mr. Byrne to sign it to you as well, nice guy that
he is. My first was the Mike Grell "Green Arrow", met him at a show in
Chicago in 91 or so, and asked if he could do a sketch for me. Got a
few here and there, now I'm like a druggie looking for the next fix.
great looking at some of these collections that the JBFers have, very
impressive. hope to aspire to there level one day.
Dave.
