Yeah, this is the problem with the net. There is no inntonation in the voice, facial expressions or hand gestures to exclaim what a great deal I thought it was.
Don't make me resort emoticons. :)
Ari and I have talked several times through e-mail and to my knowledge we have a great relationship.

I'm finally back home from a trip that included Wizard World Chicago and caught up on mundane stuff, so I can post some art I picked up:
First up, two pieces from Rich Larson. These are the latest in a series of commissions featuring Golden Age characters that started with the Destroyer and the Blonde Phantom.
First up, Black Cat.
Next, the Phantom Lady:
My wife and I are big fans of Andy Runton's Owly, so we commissioned two "Owly as..." drawings. First, Owly as Gamera:
And Owly as Cthulhu:
Also from WWC, a watercolor and ink mini-painting by Katie Cook, featuring the Micronauts:

Al no need to apologize in fact, I appreciate you coming to my defense. However, as Derek has pointed out we talk on the net. He is a cool dude with an awesome talent for coloring.
Martin,
Awesome art. The Phantom Lady is spectacular

Ari, i wondered if you would jump on thet Super Skrull piece but didn't see your name on the winning bid, so I figured you'd pass. Cool stuff, your collection grows in such fabulous ways..makes my measley little CAF site look piddly in comparison.

Actually, I have the Skrull peice right now, but was on the fence about it (bills, bills, bills).
Maybe I'll still keep it, just to ruin his day :)
Bye bye, Skrull. You'll have a better home, with lot's of friends to play with...

The truth is, I was not aware that Alan Davis was going to be at this convention (Come on, it is called JAPAN EXPO : all you can find about cosplay, animation, video games, hentai sculptures, etc etc... ) I picked a leaflet to check what was going on, and there, in a corner, I read the name of Alan Davis. Checking on the internet, I see 4 comic books artists will be there. When I was there, there was of course TONS of Japanese stuff, and in a corner, 3 tables with discounted comic books (floppies, trades, hardcovers), next to the signing tables for the artists. When in France, you find artists in the most unusual places (last time was Joe Kubert, invited of the Jewish Museum in Paris)

Very nice Super Skrull you have there Ari; you most certainly have the foremost JB character commission collection at the moment.

Ari should come to Columbus to meet Alan Davis. All the cool board members will be going. :)
Great pick-ups in Chicago, Martin. Sorry we didn't get to chat.
