And a sweet New Mutants page, Ferran. Haven't read that much of the original material, and especially not the early stuff. Here's hoping Marvel will go for an Essential New Mutants or two.

Joakim, it's about to be released a TPB compiling the first issues of Sienki's
run, NM #18-25, and the cover will be the same of the original I own, from
the #21.
You can't miss it!

Neat King Kong piece, Gerry! Makes me wonder what a John Byrne King Kong commission would be like.....hm.....Byrne does great dinosaurs, perhaps the Kong vs T-Rex scene from the original movie???

Hey Gerry, my comment on comissions and patience have nothing to do with
your infamous piece and experience. I was thinking on a piece that took 8
months to arrive after silly excuses. It almost took the joy of owning the
finished piece.
Bad times for Sienkiewicz fans. Anyway, the collector who sold me my
sample of MK interior page had other nice samples, but he was asking
similar irreal prices than Sienki's art dealer. If you wish, I could tell you off
list his mail and forward you scans of that pieces.

Ferran - I've seen the Classic TPB releases with New Mutants, and while I do believe I've added the first two or three to my Amazon Wishlist to keep track of it, I'm not sure I want to spend that much money yet. An Essential would be the perfect price range and good amount of material included for that price. I know, sometimes, I'm just cheap. ;)
Joe - you do realise that your collection can never be complete without a Kong vs. T-Rex piece (with the pretty girl on a branch in the back, you want to include as many things JB draws well as possible, right)? So, now you what to order. On top of another bunch of 4th World stuff of course. Don't forget to buy a winning ticket at the lottery. ;)

Joakim-I'd also love to see a NM Essential to enjoy the artwork in b/w.
Because of that, I'd recommend you the MK Essential vol. 2. The best of his
run, including the best issue which was MK #26, the famous "hit it" issue.
Byrne- Glad you like it!
Gerry- Maybe we're talking about the same guy: Is he Phong Le? He asked
for the best samples $750 and $1,000, because Sienki's art dealer had some
multi panel pages at $1,000. Then he lowered at $500, but he sold none
from the beginning.

Ferran - have the first volume of MK sitting on my shelf. I'll read that first, but if I enjoy it as much as I remember it from reading some it in Swedish as a kid, I'll probably end up picking up vol. 2 as well.

Joakim, from what I understand, there probably won't be an Essential New Mutants. Apparently the methods Bill the Sink used to draw the stories aren't reproducable using the standard Essentials production process.
