Nice pickup Jimmy.  If you look outside your window you might see Gerry Turnbull peeking in.

Ari,

Love the atmosphere on the Butch Guice Batman and the intensity of the Simon Bisley Batman.

Thanks for posting the pics for me Roger. Butch did an amazing job. Just wish I had a better scan to do the piece justice. Check out the headlines on the newspapers. Apparently, I have a new job in Gotham

You're welcome. Glad to help.
I'm wondering exactly what your plans are to bring Batman to justice.

As an art collector, I'm guessing Ari would have him framed.

Well, i love the Pollard Batman..Keith Pollard always seemed like an underrated artist, but one of his covers to Spider-Man with Spidey running up a wall is an iconic cover to me.

Joakim,
The newspaper headline was all Butch. The whole piece was Butch. All I asked for was for his Batman. John really is right that most arrists deliver their best work when you don't write the piece for them

The purpose of the Bat collection I started is to have several takes on the character, so when an artist asks me what version of Batman I want, I say, it is your commission. I want YOUR Batman

Nice bit of gravy then, DA Shapiro. :)

And I can't help liking that Bisley Batman... even though my rational mind keeps telling me that the ears are way too long, my emotional response refuses to listen to that.

Congrats on some very fine pieces, Ari.

Nice pieces Ari. I'm crossing my fingers regarding the Kubert piece at the NYCC. I was able to get ahold of a professional pass, so that I can have access early and hopefully get ahold of Kubert before he is booked.

New art news, just received my latest Neil Vokes commission, a reimagining of the cover to Amazing Spider-Man #173. Not only did he send the piece and the original prelim, but I was floored to see another inked piece, minue his trademark ink wash style. I'm guessing that he wasn't thrilled with it and started over...... though both are stunning and I'll post the latter soon.
