Ari, I like Bart Sears'art, but i agree that he sometimes seems to over-musculate (?) some of his characters..this one strikes just the right chord.  A cool looking Joker too.

Well, hopefully for new art, i have 2 purchases coming down the line in 2008 - A reworking of an X-men cover by Geof Isherwood, and ...wait for it...hopefully a JB original when Jim W. gets back to me!  I'm really stoked for it.

With only as of yet having browsed through that story, I must say that I find your take really intriguing, JB.
And that origin sure as heck beats Darkseid once upon a time having been a wee pebble.  ;)

Gerry, that Hembeck 20th Anniversary Fantastic 4 cover is incredible! Not wanting to pry, but was it much more than his usual cover rates? (His rates on his site do seem rather generous)

Ive never even considered getting a Hembeck piece before, but thats really got me thinking!

As an aside - to the board - are there any sites or does anyone have a list of comic artists that do commissions?

Jim
I'm not aware of a list, but check places like CAF, and you can get a good idea of which artists take commission requests. Also you can check each artists website to see whether they are accepting commissions. Finally, word of mouth is helpful. Email forum members and ask them for leads. Here is a tip worth knowing: JB does commissions

Yeah... that is my second Amazing Spidey reimagining from him. When I see the covers done with a unique style that respects the original comic I held in my excitable paws as a lad, it makes me feel like a lil kid all over again.
