I just now worked out a deal with Anthony Castrillo for a pulp sci-fi piece, and hopefully finalizing one with Big Bang Comics' Joe Zierman by the end of the day.

All the great Batman on gargoyles we've seen lately should be collected into one book. The JB one from a month or two ago, that Nowlan, there was a Kubert recently too wasn't there?

Not really new, but I've finally hung 'em on the wall in the new place.
Two Starlin Dreadstars and a Miller/JANSON DD page.
If you squint, you can see an Alan Davis Batman reflected on the mirror.

Flavio,
I distinctly remember purchasing that particular issue of DD at the CVS in Pottstown, Pa.! I had never been a huge DD fan, but the Widow made me do it. VERY nice page to have (and nice framing job, to boot)--congrats!

Looks really nice on the wall, Flavio. Btw, don't think I've seen those Dreadstar pieces of yours before, do you happen to have any scans that you could show us (or more close up photo at least). I really like Starlin's work and even though my Dreadstar comics currently reside somewhere in my parents attic, I remember enjoying reading the ones I got a hold of.

It’s great to hear that Herb Trimpe still has fans. It’s a shame he found himself pushed out of the business in the ’90s for not being an Image-style artist. He was one of those competent artists who could have redeemed the ’90s just by doing his usual job.

If anyone here is a fan of Frank Brunner's art (& it'd be hard not to), according to the 20th Century Danny Boy blog you have the opportunity at the moment to buy a copy of Frank's book "Mythos" directly from Frank with a personalised piece of artwork included.
Joe Kubert revisted?
(Sits back & waits for all of the new Brunner artwork postings to appear!)

Hmmm, a Brunner piece.
By the way, Michael at the Kubert School, had mentioned that they may revisit the original artwork inside a cover deadl in the future. It certainly has me curious.

These aren't mine but I thought Aric and Paul might get a kick out of these:

There's about 5 Whilce Portacio prelims from X-Factor in this guy's collection. There's 2 pics I've only ever seen badly cropped before. I hear angels singing~_______________________________________~ The collector's name seems familiar like he was an assistant for him. Man, that group shot and the wedding pic are too good.
Whilce's commisions for the past year have been absolute killer as well. His X-Factor work's probably gonna remain my fave forever though cause it's the most simplified style wise. If he can keep doing the stark black and white look instead of over line rendering, I'd be thrilled blablabla I just can't stop talking!
