In a minute, I will post a photo copy that I keep of the original DC Special JSA image.

Terrific piece, Brian--one of my favorite images of the JSA (love the inclusion of Huntress).
I've got a Staton/Layton page from All-Star on the way that should be arriving later this week. I'll post it as soon as it gets here.

I have several pages from Staton's run of All-Star. The page where the Huntress reveals who she is to Wildcat, among others. A lot of those I bought directly from Staton back in the day at the conventions in NYC.

It's interesting, I think, looking thru some of these illustrations, to note how many artists interpret Batman's chest emblem as something sewn on or in some other fashion attached to the costume. This is how my Mother did it, when she made me a Batman costume for Hallowe'en, circa 1960. As an artist, however, I have all along assumed it to be printed on, say silk screened.

JB, what do you think of the way they did the emblem on the first Burton Batman?

The way Whilce drew it suggests that it might be a weapon in its own right, something with some sharpness to it, that Batman may be able to pull off and use as a weapon. It is an interesting take on the emblem actually

Ari, if this is you taking a break from buying commissions, I can't wait until you're back in full force.

Alan Davis was selling some sketches on his website and I was lucky enough to get the Green Lantern piece he was offering.

It's official. I hate Paul. I LOVE that piece by Davis. Made a play for it myself. Thrilled that it got a good hom. And where is that home again?
