I lost power on Monday, the same day I recieved my sketch.  With not much else to do, after I got over my slobbering over the sketch, I read the comic.  It was great.  I liked that back cover also, if I had known about the book earlier I might have asked for a Tex sketch.

Fred, that's a great Sgt. Rock. I'm glad there was a happy ending to the story.

Fred, I'm thrilled you got a replacement for the missing piece. Simply amazing.

Hurray for Fred!  I think the 2nd one is even better than the missing piece.

As do I, Ryan. I am half hoping that the missing book somehow finds its way to ebay or my buddy's shop. He has the largest place in the area and would be the only guy that would consider buying such a book. We were talking about the situation and I found myself crossing my fingers as he described casually looking at the book, should someone bring it in. He stated he would take the book in hand, saying that he knew exactly how they got it and tell them to leave.... I smiled before another buddy said it was probably propping up a table leg.

Thanks for the well wishes throughout this whole experience guys.

Beautiful sketches Fred. You are right about Tex. It is a great read, and the art is stunning. Many of the sketches that joe did as part of this promotion were Tex characters

Wow, Fred! First off the MIA is absolutely stunning (makes you almost pray that whoever ended up with it ACTUALLY appreciates it and don't just throw it in the trash). Secondly, I'd have to agree with you, the compensation piece is just an instance of Joe Kubert outdoing his previous sketch for you. WOW!!!
Congrats!!! And I'm so happy to hear that everything worked out for you in the end.

Fred---Wonderful Kubert pieces. It speaks volumes to the character of Mr. Kubert for doing the new piece without batting an eyelash......Brian

As I was going through my scanned files of my commsions. I thought I would share 2 more pieces from my collection. The first one is a Mike Mignola full figure Joker piece done for me in NY back when Gotham By Gaslight came out and the second piece is of the Spectre by Mike Kaluta, done for me at the New Jersey Chiller Theatre show. Enjoy....Brian
