ditto

I see nothing of Mooney in there, but I like it. Interesting interpretation.

If my memory is correct, Mooney worked briefly as a Bob Kane on one of the Batman titles. He also drew the Robin stories of that era. The arm placement on Batman is what most stands out as Mooney. The seller told me this piece was done in 2000.  Glad you guys like it.

Nobody tell Ari I bought a Batman piece. It would break his heart to not own them all. :)

Number 92. I couldn't be happier, the best 150 bucks I spent in quite a while!

We've all seen (and drooled over) JB's "Kirby Korner".  Well, after some rearranging I give you my Swan Section!  (Curt Corner?)

My four Swan pages are the only original art pieces in my collection that I have professionally framed.

Very nice Sgt. Rock!  Wonder what I got?  I guess it's taking longer because I'm out on the west coast.  I hate waiting!
We need a close up of your Swan pages. I'm jealous.  I want to get a nice Swan page.  My goal is to get one page from all the cartoonist I admire.  I have my Aparo, now I need to work on others.
So many cool things out there!!

Metamorpho, the Element Man

Pencil and ink by Ramona Fradon

I just love this character.  This was the first DC character that I discovered from 'outside' the mainstream/SuperFriends characters in the 1970s, and I've had a special fondness for him ever since.  IMO, Metamorpho looks right to me as illustrated by only three artists: Fradon (natch), Aparo, and Byrne (loved him in Doom Patrol--he's a natural fit for that team).  I especially like how this piece makes it obvious that Rex is simply wearing a pair of shorts, rather than an elaborate 'costume'.

Joe, I'd like to echo the requests to see those Swan pieces.  He's long been a favorite of mine, but I still can't get over how great his work looks in its original form.
